Should I bother taking the PSAT tomororw?

I'd rather stay home.

-Junior Year
-Expecting to score around 190-200 on it
-I live in Cali

Is there a point? I took the oct SAT already, and have studied for SAT's, so I don't envision this being "practice."

Is there a point?

Yes..
you could get commended :P

What score counts as "commended," and other than that, are there any incentives?

What the hell? Just stay home if you're not motivated enough to dedicate a measly 4.88912369e-6 years of your lifetime, assuming you live until you're 70.

I'm pretty sure 3 hours is 3 hours regardless of whether you live to 50, 70 or 190.

Dude, PSAT's are whack. But unless you have something better to do, just go take them.

I feel you, dude. I took the October SAT also, and even I do get NMS, that's just money that goes from the NMS people to the college. It's not as if NMS money is money that you no longer have to pay.

Commended for NMS is ~ 200 on the PSAT, nationally (does not vary from state to state like the NMSF cutoff does) so you definitely have a good chance. It's not necessarily for the money, but rather for the prestige and the benefit of the award on your college application that many people take it. Besides, what do you have to lose? :D

If you really aren't motivated enough to take it, you don't have to, but is it really that much of a waste of time? If you really rather would stay home, then it's your choice.

I wasn't commended nationally for my 207.

So other than this "commended" stuff, is there a point?

Nope .
