Should I call Cornell about this?

I just checked my application status, and the message is all about transfer applications, and how I should check back after April 7 to see if they have all my application materials. I am NOT a transfer application.

Should I call them to make sure they didn't mix me up with someone else?

call now. got to go, my kid is on tv right now

my app status says it too, and I am a freshman applicant:

"Cornell is currently receiving a very large volume of transfer application materials. We are devoting our efforts toward getting transfer applications processed and sent to selection committees for review. Please note that upon receipt of your application and supporting documents, it can take 2-3 weeks to process your application materials.

At this time, we are unable to respond to phone calls or email inquiries about application materials. We ask that you not send duplicate copies of your application materials. We will notify you in early April if we are missing materials from your application and will provide you with an opportunity to submit those materials.

Please visit this web site again after April 7th for an update. Thank you for your patience and understanding."

do you think i should call them too?

cosmicunknown, please post here after you call the admissions office

I just called and they checked and they said I was not listed as a transfer applicant. They said my stuff was all at the college and I would hear back Mar 31.
