should i cancel scores?

just curious... what happens if i dont do as well as planned on the ap exam.. at this point i think im borderline 4 which isnt good at all because i was maintaining a 4.0 all year long in my class... im going into college next year.. i know it wont affect my gpa or anything.. but does it stay on my record throughout college.. sounds like an obvious "yes" to me.. just thought id ask... how bad do you think the consequences of failing are?

I'm thinking of canceling my AP physics scores btw.. not that the test was hard or anything.. just feel i didnt do that well because i didnt review the early part of the curriculum cause of my stupid job.. i ask for less hours and they grant me with 40 hours a week for the last two weeks before the exam.. and 38 hours three weeks before the exam.. i dont even think thats legal.. lolll

I tried reviewing everything i wasnt too good on... such as thermodynamics, circuits, etc and with my luck there wasnt really any of those topics on the free response (circuits was like half a question actually).. ended up getting killed by the kinematics part cause my mind went blank =P

No, colleges will know that you canceled your score and that you’ve done horribly (less than a 3).

Unless there’s some accident, I do not recommend canceling AP score to anyone.

kk i see… either way theyll see it… thanks… gotta just hope for the best … though i think the mcqs were extremely easy and the free responses were tough… my mind went blank i guess… either which way i think ill get a 4

Don’t cancel your score if you think you have a four! Most schools will give you something for that (and probably most will give you something for a three, too)! You don’t have to get a five on everything to get into college and to get college credit once you’re there. Relax.

Never cancel scores. It’s like paying someone to take a pickax to your windshield. It costs money, does absolutely nothing to help you, and it often harms you too.
