Since my school is eliminating AP Computer Science Principles as an offered course next year, I was wondering if I should challenge (take the exam for the course without enrolling in the class) the AP CS Principles exam.
From what I’ve researched myself, I’ve discovered that this isn’t a very good thing to do, since the course itself is mainly designed to help students create portfolios; in addition, a major part of the exam is submitting performance tasks (20 hours total, 40% of exam), and I’m not sure how exactly I would do those performance tasks without taking the class itself.
Can anyone offer any advice or insight? All feedback would be appreciated
