So, my gap year is almost up, and I am having trouble deciding which college to go to in the fall. My major will be Biology.
I have been accepted by San Jose, Chico, and Stanislaus ( not really on my radar). Please do not give me alternative school options, I am well aware that none of these schools specialize in Biology, these are my options. With my main choices being San Jose and Chico, I wanted to know if anyone knows which one has a better biology department. Also any important pros and cons that I should be aware of? Which one would you guys choose and why?
Academically, there won’t be much difference between Chico and SJSU. You will have a very different experience. SJSU is a BIG commuter school in an urban area with D1 sports. Local Bio-tech companies may make an internship available. Chico is a smaller, residential campus without a football program in a smallish college town that is somewhat isolated from Urban America.
Where do you want to spend the next 4 years?
My gut tells me San José. I guess I’m just scared to commit.
