Should I co-op?

I spent my first year at a community college and just finished my second year at the 4 year school I transferred too. I am a biosystems engineering student with a minor in environmental engineering.

I have 6 semester left of classes so if I were to co-op undergrad will have taken me 6 years vs. 5. Is the job experience worth it? I would make a decent amount of money.

If I don't co-op I will try to get summer internships.

It is generally considered a good thing in terms of future employability at graduation.

Remember, even though your graduation is delayed on the calendar, you won’t be paying extra tuition and other school expenses.

The important thing is to have 2 semesters of relevant work experience (you absolutely need at least one). It doesn’t matter if that comes from co-ops or internships (though often it is easier to find a co-op position as an underclassman).
