I am an incoming freshman at Clemson University, and we just picked out our dorm rooms. I have my suitemates emails, but I was wondering if it would be appropriate to connect with them. I’ve been talking to my roommate for several months now, and we’ve been FaceTiming and texting. What is the etiquette for connecting with suitemates? Should I just wait till move-in day, or should I reach out?

Just don’t go overboard or think they hate you if they don’t respond.
I agree, reach out, but don’t be surprised if your roommates sound flaky or not interested. Many kids don’t make a lot of effort and just wait until move in.
