Should I contact the admissions office?

I’ve attended a 4-year university for 3 semesters and after changing my degree path, I’ve decided to transfer to my local community college so I can commute and pay for school out of pocket. While completing my application, I skipped ahead to another section and forgot to go back and add my previous attendance at this university.

I’ve already been admitted so it’s too late for me to change the information myself. My class credits aren’t transferrable to the program I’m entering, but I’m not sure how strict community colleges are about this kind of thing. I don’t wanna have my admission revoked.

Should I email them about the mistake or just send the transcript from my other school and not mention the mistake on the application?

Yes, EMail them. It’s possible your CC is open enrollment so there won’t be any issues at all. But this way your transcript and records will be complete.

Thank you.

They will need your university records if/when you enroll as a degree or certificate-seeking student. It is OK if none of the credits transfer. They just need the paperwork on file.
