Should I do CAP if I want to get in the Informatics Major?

Being such a new major, I don’t really have that much information on what to as a CAP student trying to transfer into Informatics. I’m planning to (re)apply to into next year if I do pursue CAP, with my backup major being Economics. I’m planning on getting a masters degree in statistics/data science, whether it be at UT or not, so either major will lead me there anyways (and with the guaranteed admission into the COLA for economics). I’m wondering if this opportunity is worth it or if I should just head to A&M or UTD instead, where I did get into their statistics and data science majors.

Also, if I do pursue CAP what should I do in terms of courses and extracurriculars at UT Arlington to be competitive for Informatics.

Looking at the CAP course sheet from UTA, take your 2 foreign language classes for sure.
