i'm a rising senior, taking full ib program.
i am considering to drop all my ib courses and just go with the regular courses.

my marks dropped significantly in my junior year,
especially in math, and english.

my math mark was 64 and my english mark was 63...
even though i got all a on the other subjects, i believe that these two are the most important subjects.
i know that if i drop ib, i can get around 85 in both of them...

however, my only concern is that the universities might think i am a student who hesitates academic challenge...would this be the case?

please help me out...
your comments are greatly appreciated

Whats your predicted sums? I'm a full IB Diploma, graduating next year.

Is there anyway you can simply pick different IB courses for next year that may be slightly easier? If not, and you think your grades will continue to drop then maybe you should drop it, but only if you really can't manage despite working very hard. It also depends on what schools you're planning on applying to.

If your marks are in the 60s...you shouldn't be in IB. Sorry, but IB is a means to challenge gifted students, not to give you a boost in college admissions.

i'm planning to apply to UIUC, virginia tech, u of colorado-boulder, u of washington-seattle, u of wisconsin-madison, UT austin

and my predicted score is 32
what should i do?

Did you not take a couple of SL tests as a Junior? What did you score on them, and what classes were they in?

You're getting Ds in IB, and those low grades will hurt you. I think that you would be far better off dropping IB and taking easier classes.
