i know i should fill out the fafsa but do you think i really need to do all teh subsequent forms for colleges that they require (CSS-profile, college's own forms)??

i am the only child of two parents who are married and own their own business. they earn like $180,000 a year...

i highly doubt i am going to get any financial aid. i still will do the fafsa, but is it worth it paying and doing all the other forms??

If you're not applying for financial aid, don't bother doing the FAFSA. If you are applying, you must do all the forms (Profile and/or the college's own forms). Otherwise your file will be incomplete, and will not be considered for aid. Filling out just the FAFSA is a waste of time.

(Of course, if some schools say they only need the FAFSA for, say, merit scholarships, that's all you need to fill out.)

Bottom line - give them what they ask for, or don't bother applying for aid. (It's like asking, "I've filled out the Common App. Do I really have to do the supplement?" What do you think?)

You should fill out the FAFSA so that it is on file just in case something happens to your parents business. Also, if the college request the Profile, go ahead and fill that out too.

i have done the fafsa just so they have it in their file, but it seems stupid to do the rest of the stuff, considering there is very little chance i'd get money
