I hope to get straight A's and I take my SAT and ACT next month I've been studying hard. My unwieghted gpa is 4.3 and I have 238 service hours and I have joined good clubs that provdie scholarships. I volunteered at the hospital and homeless shelters and I have a big project in mind that has to do with sending medical help to Africa. I want to become a doctor, so med school is my goal in the future. I just want to know, do I have a chance at Cornell?

Not to be rude, but no. You had Bs, Cs and Fs your junior year, the fact that you then had such good grades junior year implies that you were unmotivated and lazy freshman/sophomore year.

I don’t know, your sophomore year sucked (no offense). I guess if there was a legit reason that your grades turned out like that, you could tell the school, but other than that… probs not.

Alright but do you think I could get in a school local from me?

If you live in Texas, probably Baylor, um where do you live though?

South Florida

I would apply. You are pretty solid other than your sophomore year, in rigorous courses.

Did anything traumatic happen sophomore year that adversely affected your grades?

Chance me back:

Your underclassmen years were bad. Your extra curriculars don’t make you stand out.

No
Cornell is not for you
