Taking Calculus with Analytic Geometry in January

My school offers a few AP classes, and the IB Diploma. At the end of 10th grade I wasn't ready to take on the load of the IB Diploma, and it would restrict my class choices and make me have less time for DECA and fashion designing. I also own a fashion blog, and My letters of recommendations were so good, and explained how good i am at math, and what i've been through. I consider my essays very unique and different. I know my stats are lacking, but I live in a relatively poor household, and my parents never went to college, so they could care less about what classes i take, so i had nowhere to grow, but i have potential, and more passion than anyone, I am extremely tenacious.

ACT Score: 32

I would apply to wharton for a retail major.

I want it so bad, and it feels like the perfect place, and I don't just want it for the Ivy League status, its just good for me.

Thank you

Hmm, well, I don’t think applying would be worthless (and I’m hesitant about applying myself), because I think you might have a chance. You do have extenuating circumstances which you should definitely make clear to UPenn. Similarly, you show you have potential, real interest in your field, good extracurriculars, and dedication. I have no idea what a good ACT score is, so I can’t comment on that. The only thing is that honestly you are lacking a bit in academic rigor compared to what other kids will have done, but nevertheless, unless the application fee is an issue (and if it is you should ask your school or UPenn for a waiver), you should definitely at least apply.

If you can afford the application fee, apply. Don’t regret not doing something.

Thanks, I will, and I’ll keep everyone up to date
