Should I even take the SAT?...

Ok so heres the deal, when I get out I should have my bachelor's or at least be very close. I am currently going to school at the University of Phoenix, entirely online. I have never taken the SAT, but my GPA is like a 3.7. The thing is my degree will be in business, and I want to apply to some top schools, such as USC and UCLA, going for at least a bachelors degree in film. The business degree is really just something for later on in life, if I want to start my own business, and it has kept me occupied during this deployment.

As far as "getting in" goes, how does it work if you already have a bachelors? It seems that all the focus is on seniors in high school, or community college transfers. So should I take the SAT or just continue to focus on my classes?
Thanks.

SAT doesn’t matter for non-traditional students… but you better ask those top schools. MY HS GPA was like 2.1 … I never took the SAT or ACT… and I was accepted no problem. why two bachelor degrees?

How far into University of Phoenix are you? Unless you are very, very close to a degree I would suggest that you drop out. It is a for-profit school and is barely accredited. It’s mostly worthless in the eyes of employers and other colleges and the credits aren’t even transferable. I’m not trying to bash you, but I think your time and effort are much better spent at a community college then transferring to a state school (most even offer online classes if that’s what you need). How did you do in high school? How old are you? Do you need to be working full time right now?

I agree with alwaysleah. Also, about your SAT, I would talk to the schools you want to go to. There were two schools I wanted to apply to, and one wanted a new SAT score, so I got it, and it was no big problem.

If you do get the bachelors from UofPhoenix, just tell them you want a traditional degree from a traditional brick and mortar school. It shouldn’t be a problem.
