I have an opportunity to get a Princeton Review GRE Prep Course for $350. It would be the regular, month-long classroom course. I usually test well, although my math could probably use some more work. I guess the class usually costs like $1k or something.

My question is: Should I get this for the price discount alone, or is the class really unnecessary?

You should get the ETS practice book and do a test or some questions (it’s really good practice, so you should get it anyways). See how you do, and what you got wrong. Can you tell yourself WHY you got it wrong after reading the explanation? If you can, don’t bother. If you can’t figure out the explanation for the life of you, maybe you should consider outside help.

It’s a lot of money for a class, but if you can afford it and REALLY need the help, by all means do it

I say take Andrew’s advice and if you need help, a TUTOR is better than a CLASS. In the class, the teacher is basically just getting you familiar with the test and cannot (and will not) spend time with you individually working out the things you personally get wrong. I know this because I am a prep course teacher. A tutor would be a very different experience.
