Should I go to Arizona State University Downtown Phoenix or University of Pittsburgh?

I recently got accepted into Arizona State University downtown phoenix into the College of Nursing and Health Innovation directly into the nursing major, which is what I really wanted, to get directly into a nursing program. I never thought that I would get accepted into a nursing program, because I am a pretty average student. ASU downtown has a pretty small incoming class of 1000 students, as well has a living and learning community for people in nursing. I also got a scholarship that cuts the tuition in half so I would only pay $11,000 . on the other hand, University of Pittsburgh has been an ideal school for me, when looking for colleges, I loved U of PItt, but I never thought I would get in so I never considered going there. Well, I got in, but I did not apply to the nursing program, and University of Pittsburg has one of the best nursing programs in the country that I think that I would not get in as an internal transfer. I love the idea of living in pittsburgh, as well as not being tied down to nursing and having the ability to explore my interests in college, but I also want a community of people with my sam e interests as me. I also think it sounds more prestigious to say to others that I go to U of Pitt as opposed to ASU.

Also there is a possibility that I will change my mind about being a nurse, and that is why I am ambivalent about ASU. I chose to apply there based off of there nursing program, but I do not like the ranking of their other majors.

Please help thank you

any comment would be great

Investigate how difficult it would be to:

  • Enter the nursing major at Pittsburgh.
  • Switch to ASU's main campus if you decide to change major (and also check if you can keep your scholarship).

Have you investigated how difficult it is to enter the nursing program at Pitt?
How much more would Pitt cost, and would your parents be able to pay out of pocket (without loans)?
If getting into Nursing at Pitt is unrealistic for you, Arizona State for nursing sounds like a better idea.

Its pretty difficult and pitt would cost ALOT more

Then there’s no reason - if you risk not getting your chosen major and would have to pay way more, why do you even consider Pitt?
What are your other choices?

If you are not sure about your major and want to explore more, it makes more sense not to go directly into a nursing program IMO.

I think PITT is a much better school, and is the way to go.
