Should I have changed my junior yr. schedule?

I dropped a class recently (it didn’t show up as failed or no mark, thank goodness) but because of weird scheduling issues at my school I couldn’t be admitted into another in-school class for this semester.
So I decided than instead of a study hall I would TA for one of my favorite teachers.

Then, as I TA-ed, I thought about possible things to do for next semester. I decided on an independent study on women’s rights probably in India, or I’m kind of interested in researching children’s education in the Middle East. It’s a really cool program, since at the end of the research period not only would I have a ton of new knowledge for something I’m passionate about, I would also be able to give a presentation to the school board. So I talked to my TA teacher and she gladly said she’d work with me (!!!)

I’m super excited, but I’m also really afraid that since I dropped a class my transcript doesn’t look nearly rigorous enough. :frowning:
Please rate the difficulty of my schedule and if I should change it. Thank you!!!

Semester 1 (This is the one I’m worried about…it looks really relaxed)
-FST/Precalculus
-AP Lang
-Chinese 3
-Human Anat.
-Biotech
-TA
-Study Hall
-AP Macro

Semester 2
-FST/Precalc
-AP Govt./ Politics
-AP Lang
-AP Bio
-Phys Ed (required)
-Chinese 3
-Study Hall
-Independent Study

Maybe switch human anatomy gor something more intense. And do you need study hall?

@Soccerchic24 For Human Anatomy, my school says you have to take that plus AP bio/biotech in order to take the AP bio test at the end of the year, so sadly no :frowning:
And for the study hall I’m using 2/3 of it each week working as a tutor…do you think I could add that on my apps?
I might be able to do some studying on my own during the 1/3 of the SH…I’m interested in Russian, do you think that would be alright if I included it?
Thanks for your quick response!!

Yea kind of like an extracurricular. Russian?? But your also taking Chinese 3, would you be able to handle that?

@Soccerchic24 Yeah I just finished Spanish last year, and I took that along with Chinese, so it’s a little weird not learning two languages at once. I guess it might be a little more difficult than Spanish, but if I just worked on it independently and then tried to test out of a level next year, that might amount to something…? Maybe??

If you can handle it, go ahead.

I think taking two languages would be impressive, if you do well.
