As an update,Mount Holyoke denied my appeal
That is disappointing. If you still want to go to Mount Holyoke
, just go with it. It will work out in the end. Once you are enrolled, the College has an investment in your success as a student.
I’ve already put in my deposit for Skidmore
Sorry about your appeal at MHC. My D had narrowed her choices to Smith (early-write and STRIDE) and Skidmore but had a financial issue with Smith and pulled the trigger at the last minute for Skidmore. Paying tuition each semester would have been stressful at Smith. She is enjoying it at Skidmore and is more of a big fish there. Sometimes you just have to “love the school that loves you”.
I’d be interested in learning about the science/math program you talk about. My D is a math/science double major. If you have any questions, feel free to ask…pm if you’d like.
@Tookme10mins, I think you made the right decision by depositing at Skidmore. It is not a lesser school. I say this as a Mount Holyoke alumna.
