Should I just major in this in preparation for grad school? I need quick advice help?

My ultimate goal is to go onto grad school an pursue a Masters in industrial and organizational Psychology.

My question is-- For the undergrad degree, should I major in

1.) Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology (which would boost up my GPA, unquestionably and make myself look more competitive for grad school for a MA in I/O Psych since when you apply to the program all that really matters is a high GPA, recommendations, GRE scores)

or,

2.) Continue to major in a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (my GPA wouldn't be as high or competitive!), The Psych program at my school is really competitive too.

I'm trying to sort of 'beat out the system' by doing whatever makes a higher GPA! I heard a lot of Pre-Med/Pre-Law/Pre-Professional students major in Anthropology for the same reason (higher GPA).

What do you think is best? I really want to get into Grad school

help me please!

Out of curiosity, someone told me that the Psychology degree wouldn’t prepare you for admissions to Grad school in I/O Psychology, but I was told by the grad program advisers that the most admitted major is a Psychology major into the program. Do you really think that a Psychology degree is useless and a waste of time? I really would like to go to Grad school, even if I do not get in the program I/O Psychology. I have a friend that just got a internship and is making 45k right after she gets done with a BA in Psychology. Did she get lucky or is this a common thing? If I get a lot of internships in Psychology at my school, would it still be useless? I just want to be making at least ~40K starting off with a BA if I don’t get into Grad school right away. Is it really a pointless, unprofitable, shameless, useless, dumb degree that’ll make you seem dumb and be dirt poor on welfare? That’s how people make it seem. I just don’t want to be poor and have to struggle working hard labor jobs to make ends meet. I’m the first one to go to college in my family from an immigrant family, and they expect a lot for me. I just want to be successful. :’(

help pleaaaaaase it’s quick advice anything would help! any advice please???
