From what I've heard, single's are overall nicer than doubles b/c of all the personal space. However, it's also 980 bucks more expensive. I'm considering switching from my single at Clara Dickson to a double at another dorm. How plausible is that, and would you recommend doing that?

Thanks a lot :)

i also just heard this:
“For first year and transfer grant- recipient students who do
not preference single rooms as their first choice for housing and are
placed
…in a single room or a townhouse, these students will automatically
receive an increase to their grant aid to cover the cost difference.”

is that true?

If you can afford it, stick with the single. As the year goes on, you’ll really appreciate having your own space and not having to bother with roommate issues.

I second countryangle926. Living in a single would be a very recommended choice. When you want to socialize, you can leave the door open, so people know you are there and have time. If you need your own personal space, you can close the door, and don’t need to worry about people coming in. Also, you can go to sleep/do whenever you want without needing to worry about the other(s).
