So I'm a twin and both my bro and I are going to be going off to college.. should I contact the financial office of the colleges I applied to (UCs) and let them know? Would it help me in any way (MORE MONEY)?

Thanks in advance.

Your FAFSA already indicates that there will be 2 in college. Each of you has an EFC that is based on the fact that there are 2 in your family going to college. Your EFC is lower because there are 2 of you. If only you were going to college, your EFC would likely be double.

What is your EFC?

While it’s an interesting piece of info, the financial aid offices don’t need to know. There might be some scholarships for twins out there, but probably not through the colleges themselves. They have your name, SSN, FAFSA info, and probably some application info that includes what scholarships, if any, they should award to you. Assuming your FAFSA was filled out correctly, it reflects the fact that your parent(s) have multiple children attending college.
