Does it matter?

Have your teachers mail them.

Have the teachers mail them. If you send it, the college will not be sure that you haven’t seen it and it might affect the decision process.

Go by your school’s policy. I think that most schools have teachers send it. If so, give your teachers addressed and stamped envelopes when you ask them for recs.
In most cases where students send the rec letters, teachers sign the envelopes across the seal, which is a silent way of telling the college that the letter has not been altered by the student. This is a standard practice and colleges will know what’s going on.

^Does it really matter that much? :[ My Eng teacher gave me his recc without me asking to see them.

What is the problem with sending them myself? My teachers are really busy.

Have you teachers sign over the flap of the envelope then send them yourself… teachers get busy and are human, you just never know exactly when they get sent out otherwise.
