this has been my childhood dreams really, but i was so scared to go after what i wanted, which is why i've waited all the way till now (JR year in college!), and only took 1 drama class! i have no idea what i'm going to do with it, but i figured i only get to go to college once, and i might as well do what i love, and i probably won't have a chance to focus on drama after i graduate, so might as well. but i also have philosophy and chinese in mind. i actually won't mind if i major in either of them, or double major in any three of those, but i'm leaning a bit more towards philosophy and drama.

go for it!

I agree.
I think philosophy and drama would be good together. You would certainly obtain great communication skills (probably the most important quality on the job market), while also becoming a critical thinker.

I often talk with students who struggle with this question. My advice? Major in what you're passionate about. If drama is what gets you excited about college, and motivates you to get up every morning and go to class, then that's what you should be majoring in.

one good reason to major in it is that i probably won't have the chance to do it again. but i don't know if it can really open any doors for me, (grad schools, jobs, etc.) and not majoring in drama won't close any doors either. but then again, all of the majors above can't really secure me a job, and not majoring in any of them won't close any doors either. lol.

i don't know why, but i always think that if i majored in drama, i would get so obsessed and think i could be a professional actor, and end up begging on the streets. =/
