should i make the move?

hey, so spent my whole life in california, and went to a tough high school in Los Angeles, sends a bunch of students to Ivy's and Berkeley and stuff. But, I moved to suburban Utah for my junior year. I am a junior right now, and this high school is relatively alright in Utah, but pretty much all students here stay in-state and it's really easy to get A's in AP classes compared to my old school.

so basically, will I have better chances staying here in utah for applications or moving back to that school california for senior year? what would HYPMS + others want and why? or would it not make a difference since I have only been here a year or two...

For the top private colleges being from Utah is an advantage. However, in your other post you also talk about in state tuition for Berkeley. If you think there’s a good chance you’ll end up at a UC, you need to move back to get the in state tuition (as long as parents are moving too). As the ivies are a long shot with your current stats, you really want to think through which safeties you love.

thanks that was a good post
