Should I minor in Music?

I have been studying music since middle school(I play several musical instruments) and I really want to continue in college. I am also going to do pre-med and major in Psychology. I don't know if I should minor in Music considering the fact that I have to complete the application process for med school in my junior/senior year. Will I have time to do all these while minoring in music?

By the way, for those of you who attend UCSD or are in the chamber orchestra, how difficult is it to get into the orchestra? Do you have to be super advanced?

Thank you in advance. :)

You can always try it out, and if it’s too much work, just don’t complete the minor. I had a lot of extra classes when I was thinking of getting certain minors but ended up not completely the requirements for some of them. It really doesn’t matter.

No idea about chamber orchestra, but you may want to talk to an adviser in the music department or perhaps, one of the professors. You can always audition, and if you don’t get in, it’s not a big deal.
