Should I or Shouldn't I? Please, I need some advice.

I got another rejection letter in the mail today. One by one, all but one of my outside scholarship applications have been denied. That includes both local and national. The last one standing is called the Tyson Family Foundation Scholarship. It is heavily based on need. On the application, it asks for me to list all of the scholarships I have applied to -so I put all 16 of them down. I'm afraid that they might not consider me a good applicant because of all the scholarships that I "could' have had.

Now that I haven't got ANY, I'm wondering if I should call and let them know. This is seriously the last scholarship that I could get...The worst thing is, ISU finally took away my pell grant. They awarded me the pg after we our 1st fafsa, but when we redid it we lost the pg. ISU's award letter still gave me the pg even though I had called in to let them know...they didn't take me seriously until AFTER I had decided to go there...which was a decision somewhat based on the fact that I had a pg there!

I like ISU but I think they should have either taken away my PG before I had to make a decision or they should have given it to me. Any advice or info would be great, thanks.

Edit = Does anyone know anything about this scholarship? Should I or Shouldn't I call 'em...Idk.

They don't have *any *flexibility with the Pell grant. it is a federal grant and is completely FAFSA EFC based. If your EFC is 4042 or higher then you are not eligible for the Pell grant - it is not something any school can make exeptions for. They cannot give it to you if you are not eligible for it. There is a Pell table issued by the government that tells them exactly how much Pell you can be awarded based on your EFC on a sliding scale with $4731 for a zero EFC down to @ $800 for an EFC of 4041. Agree they should have told you earlier but you have to remember they are dealing with thousands of financial aid applications at that time of year.

Oh, if you're wondering, here are my stats. I'm not an outstanding, holy crap this student is a genius (!) student, but I think I'm fairly decent comming from a public high school that is considered to be the 'bad' side of town...
