Should I P/F a class to avoid a second C senior year?

Hi,

I was recently accepted into UCLA and the admission contract states that I would need to file a report if I got 2 or more Cs my senior year. I already got one C in AP Calc first semester. I am once again on pace to get another C this semester. How likely are the chances of me being rescinded? I was thinking about P/F in the class in order to avoid a C. Is this a viable option?

UC’s prefer to have a letter grade in all your a-g course requirements. Does your school routinely allow a P/F option now that the Covid lock down has passed? If UCLA does see 1 C and then a P/F, you might have to provide an explanation.

You will not be rescinded for 2 C’s. They just want you contact them and give them a heads up before the final transcript is submitted. I would do everything you can to see if you can get up to at least a B- by years end.

Schools do not like to rescind, so it has to be a pretty serious grade deficiency such as an F.
