on the common app, i already put my school's GPA scale down, and even though the GPA isn't required i'm wondering if i should put it. my current cumulative GPA is already higher, but it doesn't officially change until the end of the semester. i don't want to put my former GPA. should i just leave it blank and let my transcript speak for itself?

I wouldn’t put it unless its official. If something changes it could reflect badly on you. Let your transcript talk or you.

okay, thank you!

Yeah, I agree with Momom. Plus, a lot of schools require a mid-year and/or final report from your counselor that will have your updated grades and GPA. Once your new GPA becomes official (either at the end of the semester or quarter depending on your school’s system), it’ll be on the updated report.
