So on the October SAT my scores were 800R/800M/740W. Should I retake this and hope to improve in writing, or is there no point in doing that? I'm pretty lazy and would prefer to not take the time retaking it if I don't really have to lol.

Also, I'm registered to take the ACT this Saturday. Is there any point in taking it, if I don't believe I can score a 36? If not, should I just not show up at the test center? Thanks.

A 2300+ is virtually the same to colleges as a person capable of scoring that can get the 2400 on a good day. Focus on something else instead; if you don’t believe you can get something similar on the ACT then avoid doing it. Look into SAT subject tests perhaps.

With scores like that, I think most top colleges would hate to see you waste another Saturday. Don’t retake, and spend that time doing something more meaningful that you can put on your application.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO FREAKIN’ WAAAAYYYYY DDDUUUDDDDDEEEE! It’s not worth it, a 2300+ is literally the same exact thing as a 2400 to the admissions people. Plus, you don’t want to risk going down.
