Should I retake my SAT 2 or study for the SAT?

Just got my SAT 2 Bio score today (690). I felt a bit disapointed because I felt very confident leaving the test room. I’m currently a sophomore (going to be a junior). I plan on applying to a few ivy leagues but I’m most likely going to a top UC or USC. I planned on studying over the summer for the SAT or the ACT (will decide soon). Should I just focus on getting a high score in the SAT by dedicating time towards it during this summer or should I also focus on my SAT 2 aswell, due to the fact that I plan to retake. Would it be wise to just go all out and study for the SAT this summer and just study for a few subject tests over the school year and my Junior Year? I thought this would be wise but I’d appreciate your feedback, thanks.

I meant study for the SAT 2 during Junior Summer***

Your plan sounds like a good one! Decide if you’re more comfortable studying for in-depth subject tests alongside school subjects, or if it would be easier to study math and english/writing skills more generally throughout the school year and instead look at subject tests over the summer.

I most definitely can’t over the school year that deeply. I’ll have 4 APs and my magnet program at school also gives out a crap load of work. Would 2 and a half months of studying like 10 hours a week over summer be sufficient to cover everything in the subject tests? I plan on retaking the Bio one and taking Math Level 2. Also, I’ll take the USHistory one since I’m already taking APUSH

can you take the subject test in August?

I don’t want to study for it this summer and just study for the SAT or ACT (UNDECIDED) since they’re more important lol. It wouldn’t hurt if I took the subject tests August 2018 (summer after my junior year) since college apps are due during the school years and I could study for them over summer, right?

SAT I is way more important than SAT II , by far. Obviously having both helps but if there is a choice to be made always go for the SAT I first.
