Hi, I just have a simple question, although I'm not quite sure where to put it. Really what I'm asking is if I should retake the SAT II Physics?

I'm looking at schools not Ivy league caliber but close...WUSTL, G-Town, Bowdoin

I took AP physics last year and scored a 5 on the exam

I took the SAT II physics and scored 700.. I'm afraid that if I want to major in physical sciences this score should be higher, and that it might hurt my chances at admission. I just took the class last year, and am confident that I could find time to study. Should I retake the exam?

It’s only one score. Depends on your overall picture. How were your SAT Is? 700 is still competitive (your report shows the %), but you could have had a ‘bad day’, or you don’t test well. But, my philosophy is to skip retakes, especially in the SAT IIs.

haven’t taken SAT I’s only a sph. Although math is my strongest area…around 780-800 in practice, W and CR arent as good 680-700. I took AP physics when i was young and did very well…A in class, 5 on exam, and I wanted to make this stand out, im not sure that it does with a 700…it was a bad day, i was confident and didnt study at all…yes it is just one score…but will the caliber of colleges I’m looking at make a big deal about it? I know I dont have to send it, but if I want to major in Physical sciences, they would be expecting it, and for it to be high.

FYI - the score report said i was like 65th percent…rly bad :(
