I got a 1460 on SAT with essay (680 in English, 780 in math) and I want to apply to some Ivy league level schools, so would it be better to retake the SAT in December to try and increase my reading and writing score, or take SAT subject tests?
I could also pay the late registration fee and do subject tests in November and SAT in December but I live in the UK (I have dual citizenship) and I don’t want to spend too much time with the SAT unless I have to.
Read your college list admissions websites carefully. Are the subject tests required or strongly recommended? If so, you shouldn’t apply without having them.
Your SAT English is also low for the most elite schools, so doing both might be necessary. You can see ranges for accepted students by looking then schools up on the college board big future website. Under the applying tab there’s test score information.
Thank you yeah I think I’ll just do both because some of my colleges require/recommend the subject tests.
