First time I got 2210 in January with 770 math (1 wrong ehh horrible curve) 710 writing and 730 reading comp.
Second time I got 2340 in March with 740 math (*** i know... i have no idea why i'm in the process of asking for a rescan) 800 writing and 800 reading comp.

Which gives me a combined score of 2370.

However... I want to major in something math and sciencey.

I got a 780 in Sat 2 math (I'm gonna retake and try to get an 800) and I got a 780 Sat 2 world history and 800 Sat 2 Korean.

Idk what to do! I can get 800 on Math if I retake and focus more but those 800's in writing and cr were a fluke... I'm decent so I can get 700 plus, but not 800 guarantees :/

Oh to add more context. I’m an asian male looking at schools like harvey mudd, caltech, stanford, olin. I’m currently very competitive AP speaking, gpa, etc.

Dude, chill. It will look obsessive if you take it again, trust me. People dream about scores like that. There isn’t any reason your test scores should bar you from getting into any school you want to go to. The variables will be your essays, extracurriculars, volunteer & work experience, etc.

^ Agreed. A 2370 is nothing to worry about.

I think its like an ego thing… cause I’m like a math freak I’m like the best at math in science bowl and have the highest grade and calc and beasted the amc10’s and etc and just seeing that 770 bothers me… (780 math 2 is understandable I took it deathly ill) Thank you for your valuable input! When I think about it this is SOO PETTY. If I saw this post during winter break I woulda thought wow what a ____.

tbh, 780 Math SAT II is kind of embarassing. That’s 82nd percentile =(

Just remember: A few years ago, CalTech’s entire freshmen class had 800s on their math SATs.

Good luck next time.

^ Trooooll in the dungeon! There’s a trooooll in the dungeon!

Honestly, my friend, whyyyy would you even consume yourself when you’ve got that amazing score? I’m taking the SAT tomorrow and if I got your score, I’d **** myself and have a heart attack. Seriously, I get that it’s like an ego thing, but for example, I’m an english wizz in my school/region and even country. But I won’t freak if I don’t get 800’s on the reading and writing parts. I’ll freak if I do, cause that would be just awesome
