Should I retake the SATs?

Hiya, I’m currently a rising senior and am about to start applying to colleges. In my junior year, I took the SATs twice. Superscored, I have a score of 2070––it’s not a 2400, but the schools I’m applying to aren’t EXTREMELY competitive schools (i.e. Ivies). I’ve gotten very high scores in Critical Reading (710) and Writing (730), but my math scores, while not abysmal, could admittedly be better. Keep in mind that math is my worst subject, and I’ve struggled with it all throughout middle and high school. I’ve gotten passing grades in it (usually A- average because I work my butt off), but it’s still my weakest point. I was wondering, given that my transcript is excellent with only one B+ (guess where…in junior year math) and I’m mostly going to be applying to liberal arts schools (I want to study English Literature and Creative Writing), if I should take it again.

I know that there isn’t much to lose (even if I get a terrible math score, my highest score from the previous SAT test will be counted), but a) I really don’t want to have to sit through a 5-hour-long test just for one subject, and b) I have lots of other things I need to prepare for, most notably a very rigorous philosophy course I’ll be taking, International Baccalaureats, and SAT subject tests.

Thank you!

If you think you can increase the score by at least 100 points then go for it, if not, I’d better suggest you focus on other parts of your applications like essays and ECs, especially your IBs
