Hi all, I should be sending my score reports to my EA school (Harvard) very soon. I am, however, unsure of whether I should send both or just one of the SAT as the school accepts Score Choice.

On the first sitting, I scored a 2310 with a 710 on CR, an 80 mc on W and an 11 essay. On my second sitting, I earned a full score with a 77 mc on W and an 11 essay.

Would it be better to send only the full score, or would it help to send both scores as it shows that I significantly improved on one section and that I was certainly not perfect? Also perhaps it would help to show that I've gotten an 80 mc on W.

I truly don't mean to come off as pretentious if I seem that way. This is a completely serious question.

This same question will apply to all the schools I will apply to that accept Score Choice for regular decision as well, but you’re right–I will post my question in the Harvard forum as well. Thank you!

Well, I will admit I am confused and that may be why others aren’t replying. You say you “scored a 2310 with a 710 on CR, an 80 mc on W and an 11 essay. On my second sitting, I earned a full score with a 77 mc on W and an 11 essay.”

What do you mean by 80? what do you mean by mc? what was your math, what was your writing? And the second sitting, what was your overall score out of 2400, and what was the breakdown?

On my first sitting, I got all of the multiple choice on Writing correct (MC subscore 80), and an 11 essay. 800 Writing, 800 Math, 710 CR.

On the second sitting, I missed one multiple choice on Writing (MC subscore 77) and got a 11 essay again, and these scores were good enough to yield another 800 on Writing. I also earned an 800 on CR and on Math in this sitting, so the composite was a 2400.

I hope this clarifies any ambiguity in my first post. Thanks :)
