Should I send in midyear grades?

Hey Everyone!
So I've heard that NYU does not require that you send in midyear grades. I'm wondering what you guys think of my semester grades, and whether or not I should send them in:

AP Comparative Government: A
AP Human Geography: B
AP English Lit: B
Advanced Functions and Modeling: C
Honors Minority Studies: A
(Honors) UNC French Class: B

yup I know, not all As, or even all Bs. Would it "hurt" me to send in these grades, though? I am taking """advanced""" classes.

Thanks!

If you send them, it’s not guaranteed that they’ll look at them.

I have very similar mid-year grades and I do not want NYU looking at them. But my school sends them anyway.

Unless there is a significant positive change from the transcript that you’ve already sent (quarter or trimester grades, I’m assuming), there’s no benefit to sending your midyear grades. As it was pointed out, there’s also no guarantee that they’ll even look at them.

I agree that I think it depends on whether or not it shows an upward trend for you. If this semester’s GPA is higher than the GPA you turned in after semester 6 - I’d send it. ? My D sent hers to “all schools” whether or not they asked for it. She had to fill out her school form long ago anyway, without knowing what her grades would look like, so she just sent it. But she’s hoping they DO happen to take a gander because she has a STRONG upward trend. BUT…she applied very early so who knows, they might have read her application back in November. But…do it if it’s better, don’t do it if it’s worse. IMO
