Should I send my Nat. Merit Commended letter to this school?

I’ve been named a National Merit Commended Scholar and I’ve been given the opportunity to send this information to two colleges I’m looking at. I’m very interested in Bowdoin College and was wondering if sending this info to Bowdoin would aid me in any way. I know Bowdoin isn’t so much a ‘numbers’ based school, and doesn’t even require the SAT. So is this a wise choice? Other schools I was thinking about were Vassar, Case Western, John Hopkins, Carnegie Mellon, University of Chicago, Northwestern, and Reed. Do you think I’d be better of sending it to another one of these schools that does care a little more about standardized test scores?

Send it! Bowdoin will care.

I'm not really sure if it carries a huge weight, but it certainly shows that you care. I sent mine to Bowdoin as my first choice last year.

Okay, I think I will then. Thanks!
