Should I send my SAT scores or ACT scores or both?

Hey guys, I've been having trouble deciding what scores I should send to colleges through the common app. Here are my scores:

SAT I: 770M, 730W, 580CR (taken 3 times)
SAT II: 770 Math 2, 760 Physics
ACT: 32C- 34E, 35M, 29R, 29S

I plan on taking the ACT one more time to try and bring up reading and science to 32+, hopefully have a 33+ composite.

For some of the reach schools I am applying to I am worried that my CR SAT is way to low and might hurt my chances if they see it. What do you guys think? Should I just not send the SAT scores because of my one bad section?

Also for more info, I will be applying through QuestBridge and the national college match and the reach schools on my list are Stanford, Princeton, MIT and Caltech (all engineering).

One more question.... All of the statistics I have seen about ACT ranges for schools shows the average composite, English and math ranges. Does this mean that the scores in the English and math sections are valued more than the scores from reading and science (sort of like how CR+M is more valued then writing on the SAT)?

Thanks in advance!

Send the ACT. The 580 CR is indeed a potential problem

Your ACT is much better

Send your ACT, do NOT send any SAT scores unless required by the school. Your CR is below the threshold seen as positive (even with Questbridge) and your ACT reading score even of 29 is still higher than your SAT CR. The fact that you have taken the SAT three times and a 580 is still your highest also hurts if you submit the SAT. I would also suggest that you only retake the ACT if you have done a lot of practicing, and are consistently reaching higher scores than your first test on your practice tests. Do NOT take it again on the “off chance” you will get higher. Because right now, you have only taken it once - and some schools require “all test scores” for whichever test you choose. So if you end up scoring lower, it could backfire.

@Momof2back2back‌ thanks for your advice. I plan on studying hard for my next ACT so I believe I can raise my reading and science scores. In march I submitted my SAT scores to the QB college prep scholarship and I won several awards so I was considering submitting them to QB NCM. Should I just leave them out entirely from QB and the common app? Do you think my ACT is high enough to make me competitive to be a finalist and possibly a match recipient? Thanks!!
