I have taken the SAT and ACT, and I'm not sure which scores to send....
I took the SAT I twice and my scores are as follows:
1st time: CR/M/W: 700/770/750 composite:2220
2nd Time: CR/M/W: 710/760/800 composite:2280

I just got my ACT results, and they were lower than I had hoped:
Composite: 33
English:34
Math:35
Reading: 32 (huge screwup)
Science: 32 (ran out of time)

I realize my SAT score is stronger but some people have told me to send both to show consistency since a 33 is a decent score. Also some colleges adcoms say that they would like you to send everything to them, so they can use all the info to make their best case for you (I don't know how true this is in reality). I'm worried my low ACT reading score will reflect poorly since my CR score is low as well....so what should I do?

So should I send both or just one? Which one?

Send both, it will not hurt you if it doesn’t help you. And remember, 33 is still only 3 points away from a perfect score, your individual subscores show strength.

hmmm…I just realized that I got a 9 on the essay?
In comparison to my SAT Essay scores of 11 and 10, this is week. My parents are concerned that this shows a downward trend since I took my ACT most recently…
My English+Writing composite is now a 32 because of that 9 essay :(

Will colleges disregard that and just look at my high SAT Writing/essays scores, or should I just send SAT?

I don’t think they will view it negatively because your act scores are already high enough. They most likely will disregard it and look at your SAT scores. You should still send in both.
