Should I send my SAT subject scores? Under 700

I'm applying to Northwestern University, and they recommend but do not require SAT subject tests. I got a 690 on US history and 680 on Math II. I know these scores are very low compared to the rest of the applicants, so would it be better not to send them? The only reason I would is because they recommend them, but I don't want to hurt myself by doing so. I have a pretty good ACT score (not outstanding but good enough). Any opinions?

A 690 on US History is roughly the 60th percentile of test takers; a 680 on Math II is about the 47th percentile. My gut instinct is to not submit them since they are not required but let’s see what some of the more experienced members say.

I worked with someone who was an experienced tutor for 10 years, sending 90% of the kids he tutored to ivies and he explicitly said that unless you did horribly in a subject and you want to show that you are in fact adept in it, anything above a 650 is worth sending.
