I've already done Algebra II (meaning I have a rudimentary knowledge of trigonometry). Should that be enough?

Yes

I never took Physics B (not planning to either) but I did take regular Physics. Personally I kind of struggled with the class for most of first semester. I had the same math knowledge as you going into the class. But I knew people in my class who had no problem in the class and could have easily been in AP Physics if they weren’t lazy. Anyways, just make sure you have some sort of physics exposure. I know Physics B is gonna be fast paced and you don’t wanna get left behind cuz you’re struggling with basic concepts. If you’re motivated and easily grasp concepts, go for it! Good luck :-

That was supposed to be a :)

Thank you! I’m actually self studying the course, and if you or anyone else is wondering how I’ve done this; I got a textbook (Physics, Cutnell/Johnson; message me, I can help you with obtaining an e- book) , I’m using UC open access (it offers free course resources/materials, but warning, it’s NOT a course), AAAAND Kahn academy

Then you’re good!

AP Physics B is doable without any prior physics knowledge. Now, Physics C … that would be a different story, but yes, B is manageable.

I’ve self-studied Physics B alongside Physics H, and I was fine it’s definitely doable. make sure you get a good prep book, and you should be OK

You should be fine. But our school makes you have an A in honors pre cal to proceed to regular physics (we don’t have AP).
I think its because the school is nervous that everyone will fail though…
