Hello, if I go to my local university I have the choice of living in a dorm or living at home. Cost doesn't matter in this decision. What should I do? I feel like living on campus would be more beneficial and fun, but living at home has its advantages too. Help!

If cost is no matter to you then I would dorm. It’s a great experience. However I do have to say commuting from home has its perks too such as home cooked food, the comfort of being home, and tons and tons of money saved.

How long is the commute?

Since cost does not matter, live in the dorm freshmen year and if you don’t like it you can always live at home for the remaining years.

If cost is not an issue, get a dorm. You can always commute if dorm life is not for you and just use the dorm on occasion.

Definitely dorm, if cost is no issue. It’ll help you find a friend group, it’ll be more convenient for class and other activities you want to do, and it’s always good to live away from home at some point. After your first year, if you decide that you don’t want to dorm anymore, you can always live at home.

Try the dorms for at least 1 semester. I love living on campus. It makes you realize how much freedom you have. And it also helps you become more independent. And if your campus is nice you’ll probably have a killer view from you window! If you can you could always go home during the week to eat a home cooked meal ;)
