<p>I want to go to UC Berkeley and major in Chemical Biology. On assist, it recommends that I take organic chemistry at my community college, but i was hoping to go to pharmacy school later on and I've heard that they frown upon o-chem at a CC. I'm not sure whether it's more important to please assist or my future graduate school... Any advice? Sorry for any errors, I'm writing this on my iphone. Thanks in advance!</p>
<p>Graduate school or professional school? I don’t think graduate schools would care. O-chem is notoriously hard in Berkeley. On the other hand, even if you took o-chem at CC, you’d still need to pass the ACS exam before getting credit. If you decide to take it at Berkeley, plan to take it early because some your requirements may have o-chem as a prerequisite. Best of luck.</p>
