Should I still use 2005 sat prep books?

I have Barrons How to Prepare for the SAT New, Barrons Writing book New SAT, and the Blue Book.. but I got all of these at the end of 2005. So all of these books were published before the new SATs came out so I don't know if the prep info. is up to date. Should I use them or is it worth the money to get the 2007 editions or 2006. (Oh and I know I made two threads, but other one like died and got no replies so I had to make another one.

kinda is common sense. They're all for the new SAT, it says on their covers. The last time they were published for the "old" one were from 2003/2004, so you're safe. 2005 and 2006/2007 versions of books can be/are almost identical.

Yeah I know but I thought it might have been just a marketing thing to put the NEW Sat on their book to get more buyers. Because like how could Barrons have gotten information on the new SAT before it was finalized?

They wouldn't do something stupid like that. People buy books for the content. When they say it's for the new one, it's for the new one. It should have been finalized way before the book came out.

i disagree schrizto

but sorry - my hands are greasy since i'm eating salami

bye

I have both the 2005 and 2007 versions of Cracking the SAT. The changes aren't huge but I'd say it's worth getting the 2007 version because the prep companies have had more experience now with the new test.
