should i submit both SAT scores to MIT?

as you may know... MIT states on collegeboard.com that it considers the highest score across sections. I took the SAT twice and I got significantly higher scores on writing and math the second time but a lower score on CR (by 40 points). so my question is whether i should send the scores from both sittings. Will I be at a disadvantage if they see my low scores on writing and math from the first time? Will they truly consider ONLY the highest scores from both sessions?

They say they only consider the highest scores. If you’re questioning their honesty, I don’t think anyone could really help you here because none of us are admission officers.

Why would you apply to a school if you think they’re lying to you even before you get started? Take them at their word or pick another school. They are in the business of picking the best applicants, not playing gotcha.

Thank you.
And by the way IxnayBob, I’m asking this question because there are two versions of “Highest Section Scores Across Test Dates” SAT score-use practice and I really can’t find any difference between them, not because I’m questioning their honesty.

I am also puzzled why people apply to schools that they think are lying to them. I interviewed a student who kept telling me that “Admissions says this, but it’s not true”. I asked him that very question.

One should take them at their word.
