Hi!
Recently, I took the ACT for the first time and got a score of 33 (30M, 34S, 36E, 31R). I also took my SAT and got a 1540 (also first time). I want to apply for T20 universities next year, so should I submit both my ACT and my SAT scores or just my SAT scores? Should I consider retaking the ACT? Thoughts?
The 1540 concords to a 34, and is a fine score. What was the split between Math and EBRW? If you are at 800/740 (or 740/800), you could consider retaking the SAT to get a better superscore and pull the 740 over 750. 770/770, I would probably not retake, but it would not be wrong to try if you have the time. I would definitely not redo the ACT.
A 1540 concords to a 35.

Unless there is data we are missing, your scores indicate that you perform better on the SAT. So there’s no reason to take the ACT again.
There’s also no reason to submit a lower score along with the higher one (unless there’s still a school that requests every single test you take).
