I am applying to Columbia College (currently trying decide whether to do ED or not, but it has been my first choice since sixth grade).
From my understanding, Columbia does not require SAT subject tests for those who submit the ACT. My ACT + Writing score is 32. I also took two SAT subject tests. I got a 670 on Chemistry and a 720 on Math II. I retook Math II last weekend, but I don’t think I will improve much.
My question is, is it in my favor to send those scores?
I did, but I don’t think I did much better (I just can’t get myself to get enough sleep for it). I’m currently looking at majoring in biology, math, chemistry, or some sort of related field.
You shouldn’t indicate that you want to major in chemistry and also submit your 670 in chem. I would either not submit both scores or possibly just send in your math score. Hope you did better on the recent tests.
A couple things to note:
-my SAT subject test scores previously mentioned
-I have always done very well in math and even got a 5 on the Calc BC test sophomore year, but then I somehow got a D in Calc III junior year
-I am taking AP Physics 1 right now and I got an A+ this quarter
-I am receiving one letter of rec from my chemistry teacher (others are from English and Orchestra teachers)
