Should I submit my SAT scores and/or my ACT scores to Holy Cross?

After finding out how Holy Cross doesn't require any standardized tests, I am ecstatic, especially the fact that it doesn't put me at a disadvantage.

My SAT scores are as follows:
SAT Reasoning Test
1250/1920

SAT IIs:
Chemistry: 720
US History: 750
Math Level 1: 700
Math Level 2: 580, 620, 670

ACT: 30

I took the SAT once without preparation to see if it's the test for me. Apparently, by my scores, it is not, therefore I opted for the ACT, which is a decent score. However, I'm really persistent on showing Holy Cross my SAT II scores. But I would have to send the SAT scores all at once, meaning they see my crappy reasoning test. So then I would have to submit my decent ACT score.

All in all, would this hurt me? I feel these standardized tests do not put me in a good light, because my school load and corresponding grades are much more impressive, considering how I always took honors and AP courses, giving me a 96.5 weighted GPA and a 94.2 GPA unweighted.

On a side note, should I give only 1 great teacher recommendation, or add another one? One social studies teacher I've known for 4 years and had in freshman year and now for AP Euro, wrote me a phenomenal letter. I feel it is sufficient. However, I also have another teacher in mind that I had for 2 years in a row for Honors Chemistry and then for AP Chemistry in my sophomore and junior year. Although I wasn't the best student in the class, I actively participated, went to extra helps all the time, the teacher loves me, and he pushed me to my limits.

Here's the thing, I can't send individual SAT scores. It's the whole thing, with the good and bad.

I'm worried about showing them things like my bad Math II scores that have improved over time. But, I thought that the colleges will disregard the lower scores of my Math Level 2, because I have improved it over time.

Your GPA is impressive enough that I would recommend only sending in the ACT score. If only 1 recommendation is required, just send in the one that will write the phenomenal letter. Sounds like you should be golden. It is a great college with a lot to offer and strong school spirit and an absolutely gorgeous campus. I hope you enjoy your four years there.

I appreciate your input, but do you think it will be a detriment to submit my SAT scores? I'm really proud of my SAT II scores and wish to flaunt them, but therefore, they must see my bad SAT reasoning test.

Am I at a disadvantage by not opting for an interview or visiting the campus? I missed both deadlines for the campus and off campus interviews.

I do want to attend, but this is sort of my within-reach school. Not a safety, but a reasonable estimate.

you could get into realllly good schools with your scores, trust me...

Like where? Any suggestions that specialize in pre-med? I'm not willing to travel that far, and I will seriously consider applying to your suggestions if I didn't pass their due date for regular decision.

Travel too far from New York, that is. Like the farthest I'll go is Virginia.

I think you will get in without any difficulty whether you submit your SAT scores or not. I just don't think submitting the SATs will help especially if you have a decent ACT which you do. Interviews are not required just suggested. Many get in with out interviewing. Holy Cross does not weight standardized test scores heavily at all even if submitted because they know that many students take test prep classes. Your academic record is of primary importance at HC and yours is excellent. I cannot imagine you will not get admitted.

I'm flattered to hear that about Holy Cross.

Speaking of which, what are my chances at Georgetown though, seeing as these schools are very similar.

Georgetown will be a reach but not out of the realm of possibility especially with the stellar teacher recommendations. The caliber of your high school will also play a role as well as your class rank.

Thank you for the help. I'm glad that you are confident in me.

three 700's for subject tests? Definitely send them.

apply to Georgetown!.... quickly because the deadline is verryyy very soon... i think its tommorow

My train of thought is that if I send my SAT IIs with my bad reasoning test, wouldn't the ACT score nullify the reasoning test, and they will see the ACT is the better test for me?

It is in the colleges' own best interest to give you the applicant the benefit of the doubt and use the highest test scores for admissions purposes. Adcoms realize that certain types of intelligence do better on the SAT, and that some kids do better on the ACT. Nevertheless, subject tests cover academic curriculum and 3-700's are great for HC.
