Hi, I'm a sophomore in high school. I want to take these classes next year:

AP Calculus AB
AP Chemistry
AP Physics C
APUSH
AP English Language
Research elective, time in class to do science research.

Would this be too much? I'm taking one AP this year (Biology), and find that my classes are very easy. Thank you for the feedback! :)

As long as you have the prerequisites it should be okay.

Okay, thanks! I do have the requirements (Physics C only requires concurrent enrollment in Calc AB).

Have you taken any kind of physics/chem before?

Taking honors chem, high A both semesters so far.

No physics yet, though. That’s part of the reason I’m concerned.

For junior year you should be taking challenging courses but that’s seems like a load. But if you have the background and time management and you enjoy those subjects, go for it. As a junior I took only 4. As a senior I’m in all APs and it can def be a lot of work.

5 ap classes is good. keep up the good work brotha

“No physics yet, though.”

I don’t know if it’d be a great idea to take calculus-based physics if you’ve never had any physics before. You could study some on your own during the summer, but still. Does your school have Physics B?

Our school has no Physics B, unfortunately.

I asked the teacher, he said several people jump in and are successful, though. I could also self-study a bit over the summer.

I plan to take either 10 or 11 APs through my high school career.
