Should I take 6 APs junior year?

I’m kinda new, so I’m not really sure where to post the question so sorry if I posted in the wrong section. >^<
So basically next year I’ll be a junior.

I have a 4.6 GPA weighted and 3.85 unweighted.
This year the only AP classes that I took was APUSH and AP Seminar.
Next year I was considering:
Spanish 4H
AP Physics I
AP Research
AP Language
AP Calc AB
AP Statistics
AP World.

AP Physics: The thing is Physics H was only provided to students this year since the past years, our school only offered AP physics or cp physics but this year we have ap physics. I asked about those who took AP physics without taking physics before taking the AP. They said how you don;t learn anything in the class. You can get a B or a A but you prob won’t know anything for ap exam. But I was kinda expecting that, so i was thinking if I just review online and study myself, would that be ok?

The other classes that I’m a bit worried may be lang and world. I took apush and people said world should be easier than apush since the material is more interesting. Lang just has a lot of work, depending who I get.

I’m also thinking of running for positions for clubs this year, those include:
Leadership Mentor Club
Relay for Life
Interact Club
Fine arts

Those clubs are mainly volunteering and held during the weekends. The meeting is just once every week, maybe just arounf 30 minutes till like 3:00. I also do other volunteering but I don;t think I’ll be running for positions for them.
I don;t do any sports, which leaves me out of having to go to practice and getting all sweaty.

I was thinking if you guys can give me some feedback on my schedule, ap exams, workload. I know everyone have diff teachers and how diff school have diff requirements but I’d still like to hear some advice.
Thank you very much. ^^

6 APs and 1 Honors class is a tough schedule. That being said, don’t take AP Research (is that the same as AP Capstone or whatever it’s called) and AP Stats. Save Stats for senior year. Focus on extracurriculars and standardized test prep.

Thanks for your input. Yeh its for the capstone. You need to complete both ap research and ap seminar and four additional ap courses to get the capstone. its best to have the requirements finished before senior year thats why i wanna take research. I’m sure i can handle stats since I took classes on it outside of school before. I’m mainly really worried about physics, world and lang

I went from 1 AP class in Sophmore year to 6 AP and 2 Honors classes in Junior Year. Life does suck sometimes (especially spring) but if you work hard, you should make it.

Thank you. I was thinking of the same coz I personally like to make a schedule for everything in order to have good time management. I won’t mind staying up some nights to complete my work :))))

Senior year I’d say yeah. However, junior year you want to have time to visit colleges, study for your standardized tests, etc. etc.

I always say: Don’t have too much of one thing. Not too much math, not too much writing, reading, memorization.

I’d say maybe drop AP Physics and keep Calc – that way you can take Calc BC if you want your senior year.

If you’re worried about the work load, just move one to your senior year. You’re worried about English Language? I’m taking that next year, is moving it an option?

Junior year is not the time to overload on APs, I took two APs, two honors, and one regular level that year and had difficulty keeping A’s because of standardized test stress. Contrast to this year, I have all APs and have all A’s. I would not suggest over three or four APs for senior year.

I took World over two years (frosh/soph in an advanced humanities program) and Lang my junior year, and World was much much easier than APUSH, which was easily the most workload I’ve ever had in any class, but it might be different for your school.

Do you legitimately think you can handle the workload? I had some more ECs than you, so maybe you’ll be more able to do it.

I’d save ap stats for senior year. In any case you’ll need to take stats in college (AP stats is an AP lite).

I’d also save ap research for senior year as a substitute for English, if your school will allow it.
This way you have 4 AP 's + 1 honors class and one free slot for something else.

Looks tough, I would recommend replacing AP stats with an elective. Stats could be done in college in one semester.

If I was in your shoes, I’d probably die from that schedule.Your schedule looks more rigorous than mine. Next year as a junior, I’ll be taking:
APUSH
AP Physics l (I’m worried about this fella here as well)
AP Biology
AP English & Language Composition
Accelerated Precalculus
French 3 Honors

I’m taking AP World right now, my piece of advice is to NEVER EVER EVER procrastinate APWH hw(reading the chapters each night) or you’ll be in trouble for the rest of year, and you’ll be screwed when the AP exam is 3 weeks away. *use flashcards to study for APWH and get the Princeton Review for the AP exam
